Swine flu fears put to bed by leading travel extras provider

EssentialTravel.co.uk – the UK’s leading independent supplier of travel extras – has dismissed the media hype surrounding the Swine Flu outbreak as ‘damaging’ to the travel industry. The forward thinking company is calling for a realistic approach to Swine Flu rather than injecting fear into Brits already reeling from the recession.

“More needs to be done to reassure the British public that travelling abroad is safe,” says Stuart Bensusan, Director, EssentialTravel.co.uk. “The chances of becoming seriously ill from Swine Flu are slim and there’s no doubt within the industry that unnecessary fear-mongering is damaging an already fragile sector.”

The Association of British Insurers stated that most policies will provide cover against Swine Flu – a move championed by EssentialTravel.co.uk.

“Like the ABI, more bodies should come forward to reassure the public that they are protected against unforeseeable circumstances. If your four year old is taken ill with suspected Swine flu, the last thing you need to be worrying about is whether or not you’ll get the money back from your holiday.”

Essentialtravel.co.uk is dedicated to providing travel insurance that covers the needs of all travellers, whether they’re looking to go on an extreme sports adventure or family holiday.

“At a time like this, when facing many uncertainties whether it be Swine flu or redundancy, the British public needs reassurance and support. The right travel insurance policy can provide exactly that. It’s important that this information is made clear to the UK public especially during the summer holiday period” says Bensusan.
