Swiss carrier Hello AG joins IACA

Founded in 2004 in Basel, Hello AG is Switzerland’s only charter airline company. The company has 150 employees and a fleet of four Airbus A320s each fitted out with 174 seats. These aircrafts are chartered out to several Swiss and foreign tour operators who fly to various destinations in Europe and North Africa, as well as to other companies and football teams, including FC Basel, for events and away games.

Welcoming the airline to IACA, the association’s Director General, Sylviane Lust, said:

“We are delighted that Hello AG is joining IACA and we are very pleased to welcome our second Swiss member to the association. “We are looking forward to working with the team at Hello AG and assisting the airline on a range of aeropolitical, operational and technical issues in the future.”

“In these difficult times, it is even more essential for airlines to work together to address common issues and tackle problems with a united front.”

Commenting on joining IACA, Robert Somers, CEO of Hello AG said:

“As a small carrier, it is important to have the support of an organization which can help get our message through to airport authorities, ATC agencies and governments. At the same time we need an organization which has the expertise to work through the large amount of regulatory documents which are issued every day and provide us with qualified opinions. IACA fulfils these functions perfectly for Hello AG “.
