The third in a series of posters with a tourism-awareness message by the Malta Tourism Authority was recently launched in the local media.

The poster carries an image of a teacher, with a message on the blackboard behind her reading; “Ftakar, it-turist mistieden taghna lkoll!” (“Remember that the tourist is our guest!”)

“Since tourism in Malta is not restricted to a resort, tourists come into contact with the local population on a regular basis. It is therefore vital that everyone is aware of the importance of tourism and the need to treat tourists visiting Malta in a hospitable manner,” MTA Chairman, Mr Chris Grech explained.

This hospitality-oriented message forms part of the efforts of the Ministry for Tourism and Culture and the MTA to raise awareness about issues which have an impact on the local tourism industry.
