TLC embraces IMEX 2010 Challenge Poland

IMEX, the event industry’s leading exhibition held in Germany, started a new social responsibility project that puts something back into the community using the skills from its exhibitors across the globe. The inaugural IMEX Challenge was held in Poland.

TLC wholeheartedly embraced the project; “rolled up its sleeves” and helped on the rebuilding of the garden, constructed a playground and the recreational facilities of a foster family house in Warsaw. This facility is responsible for the care of seven children with speech and mobility difficulties, all under 12 years old.

Miguel Assis, Director of Sales & Marketing, plus 19 other meetings industry professionals from 9 different countries; took 220 wheelbarrows of sand, 280 wheelbarrows of soil, 300 wheelbarrows of bark, used 160 pairs of gloves and completed the task in just 24 hours in 2,5 days.

Besides the creation of the new child friendly environments, the group also funded scholarships with a value of 4000 euro which will be used to provide English lessons, hippo and speech therapies.

For Miguel Assis the challenge was “a truly self-fulfilling experience which also built memorable emotions which will be cherished.”
