Two more ships reinforce Dodecanese line

The Dodecanese Maritime company launched its first vessel at Piraeus port on April 7, a newly-built catamaran named the Dodecanese Express which made its way to Rhodes, where it will be based.

The boat, which is 40.5m long and 11.46m wide, will provide a local service in the Dodecanese. It can carry 341 passengers and six passenger vehicles.

Ilias Kotiadis, director of Dodecanese Maritime, said the vessel was built according to the latest technology. Apart from the boat`s luxuriousness and speed, the people of the Dodecanese should know that it is equipped with the best safety features, he noted.

Additionally, the Panagia Skiadeni ferry will soon arrive in Greece where it is to be worked on before it begins servicing the Piraeus-Astypalea-Nisyros-Tylos-Symi-Rhodes route three times a week.
