Vayant Travel Technologies announces airfare search capabilities of the future

Vayant Travel Technologies, the flight search and pricing innovator, unveils a new suite of products catering to airlines, travel distributors, meta-search providers, and travel IT solution vendors worldwide. Vayant’s solutions bring the most advanced search engine for shopping, pricing and booking delivery of air itineraries, and showcase the benefits of personalization in the online travel industry. The new Vayant products include innovative and comprehensive mix & match airfare search offerings. At its core are the powerful algorithms first crafted in 2007 when the Bulgarian company set its mission to change how consumers search for travel. Its continuously updated, agile composition reduces a number of rigid limitations for travelers, while creating value and eliminating chaos and cost for traditional providers such as mega online travel retailers, airlines, global distribution systems, and other market participants such as ITA Software, currently being acquired by Google Inc.

Major breakthroughs in the Vayant product line include new efficiencies for combining LCC with traditional carriers to create split ticket itineraries with all necessary taxes and rules, a new level of personalization that understands each consumer has different needs even if traveling to the same city pair, the option of different classes of service and unrelated carriers in the same itinerary.

Vayant introduces the following products that allow airlines, GDSes, online travel agencies, Meta-searches and technology solution providers to better serve the marketplace and improve results and economics:

Vayant OneSearch Suite

  • MultiLine – Produces multi-carrier itineraries irrespective of interline agreements or carrier type, showcasing Vayant’s powerful split-ticketing functionality
  • MultiLine+ offers flight interruption coverage options by leading travel insurance carriers, and a special, highly specific Minimum Connect Time Catalog, in addition to the capabilities of MultiLine.
  • Find-X – Returns fully priced itineraries (flights, fares, prices and taxes) without availability check.
  • Find-A – Returns best priced itineraries, validating top results.

Vayant Microproducts

  • IntelliPricer – Bypasses shopping to display the lowest applicable price for a given itinerary.
  • CustomAVL – This IntelliPricer add-on uses custom sourced inventory data and Vayant databases to find the best applicable or the lowest available fare.
  • TaxQuote – Applies charges and taxes for a given itinerary, reducing margins of error caused by confusing, rapidly changing data
  • Farelist – Fetches applicable fares for any city pair worldwide based on search criteria

Enriched with powerful split-ticketing capabilities across any set of carriers worldwide (even high-speed rail) and customizable ancillary product management features, the Vayant system delivers without endemic hassle and confusion. Vayant’s deep personalization parameters fine-tune the offers and make it far more likely for end consumers to book from the first set of results, making choice easier while slashing distribution costs.

Atanas Christov, CEO of Vayant, takes pride in his company’s evolution. "At the core of our refreshed product range are the very ideas we first pioneered in 2007 to break down prevailing distribution barriers. It’s very exciting to see how rich this space is, and how ripe it is for our true out-of-the-box thinking. We knew we had something unrivaled and unique and now, many thousands of lines of code later, we’ve transformed into the next wave of travel distribution. Double-digit look-to-book is now a reality and feedback has been tremendous. It’s full speed ahead for Vayant,” Christov continued.
