European Tour Properties add two further Dubai Golf Destinations

The venues join Jumeirah Golf Estates to become the second and third Destinations in the United Arab Emirates, with all three being managed under the umbrella of Dubai Golf.

Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek & Yacht Club, both located in Dubai, have been added to European Tour Properties’ network of world class Destinations.

The venues join Jumeirah Golf Estates to become the second and third Destinations in the United Arab Emirates, with all three being managed under the umbrella of Dubai Golf.

Emirates Golf Club is one of the world’s most prominent venues, hosting the European Tour’s longest-running Middle East event, the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, for 28 of the 30 editions.

The venue features The Faldo Course, the Par 3 Academy Course and The Majlis Course, which is the flagship championship layout and host of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, won last month by Bryson DeChambeau.

The Majlis was originally designed by Karl Litten and was the first grassed course in the Middle East, taking its name from the Arabic word for ‘meeting place’.

In addition to world class golf facilities, Emirates Golf Club offers six dining options including the Roseleaf Cafe and the renowned Carine, a French Mediterranean restaurant, along with various sporting activities such as tennis, padel tennis, squash, fitness classes and a luxurious spa, allowing guests to relax away from the golf course.

Dubai Creek & Yacht Club’s Championship Course is the stand-out feature of the venue, a par 71 layout which has hosted the Dubai Desert Classic on two occasions and provides players with a memorable round that takes in views of its creek and various lakes.

The venue also boasts a floodlit nine-hole Par 3 Course, which is perfect for golfers of all abilities to hone their skills, as well as a fun mini golf course.

Away from the course, visitors can dine in one of six outlets, or partake in such varied activities as yoga, swimming or sailing, on one of the Yacht Club’s charters.

Iain McInally, Head of European Tour Properties, said: “It is with great pride that we welcome Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek & Yacht Club to our network.

“Having hosted an event on the European Tour on 28 occasions, Emirates Golf Club is a true world class venue which has witnessed many of the world’s greatest players walk its fairways.

“Dubai Creek & Yacht Club is also a stunning venue which offers more than just golf and is recognised as one of Dubai’s finest venues.”

Christopher May, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Golf, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with European Tour Properties across our three destinations to include Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club in addition to Jumeirah Golf Estates.

“Dubai Golf has a long-standing relationship with the European Tour, as proud hosts of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Race to Dubai finale at the DP World Tour Championship.

“This new affiliation cements our already strong bond, and we look forward to a co-operative future with European Tour Properties.”
