FABEC OPS Theatre at World ATM Congress 2022 leads debate on industry challenges and new initiatives

FABEC received a record of requests. The selected topics raise searching questions about how states manage the conflict in Ukraine; challenges relating to rising airspace complexity, interdependencies between performance indicators, environmental responsibilities, safe integration of new entrants, civil-military cooperation, operational usage of remote towers, and work force priorities.

The Functional Airspace Block Europe Central (FABEC) OPS Theatre free educational forum will host topical discussions on issues that impact everyday operations at World ATM Congress 2022 in Madrid 21-23 June 2022. Returning for the fifth consecutive year, the FABEC OPS Theatre provides an influential platform for delegates to debate mainstream operational issues and industry experts to share best practices.

FABEC received a record of requests. The selected topics raise searching questions about how states manage the conflict in Ukraine; challenges relating to rising airspace complexity, interdependencies between performance indicators, environmental responsibilities, safe integration of new entrants, civil-military cooperation, operational usage of remote towers, and work force priorities.

Over two days, senior international speakers from regulators, air navigation service providers (ANSPs), military, air traffic controllers, industry and research will share their operational experience and research findings in an open exchange of views. By bringing together experts from all sectors of the industry, the FABEC OPS Theatre offers the opportunity to develop solutions and improve ATM performance within an international forum that encourages informed and open discussion.

World ATM Congress 2022 is a Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) partnership with the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) that brings together the world’s leading product developers, experts, stakeholders, and ANSPs for three days of conference sessions, product demonstrations and launches, contract closures and educational and networking opportunities in Madrid, Spain.
