FCB invests in WEB 2.0: Three new online tools are ready to be launched

The new app, available in two languages (English and Italian) and downloadable now from Iphone and Ipad and soon from Android devices, was developed to improve both the tourist experience of delegates in Florence and the event organization for conference operators.

Florence Convention Bureau
, thanks to the economic contribution of the Chamber of Commerce of Florence, invests in digital communication and launches three online tools dedicated to a wider audience that includes delegates arriving in Florence, event organizers, members and local citizens: an innovative app, FCB Social News and a new website.

The new app, available in two languages (English and Italian) and downloadable now from Iphone and Ipad and soon from Android devices, was developed to improve both the tourist experience of delegates in Florence and the event organization for conference operators. The app integrates the website’s features and graphical aspects in mobile key and has a personalized area to which the participants access by logging in and where the organizer can download the event program, scientific materials, profiles of speakers, technical details on the venues and all relevant information to the participants. At the same time the participant can use the app to discover Florence during his/her freetime thanks to an area containing a rich calendar of events, the FCB Congress Card, geo-referenced maps with points of interest, guided tours of the city purchasable through an online booking system.

To be more interesting and useful to the participant, the app also contains the new FCB Social News, a collector of news integrated with the main social networks (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram) to give information about events in Florence, opening of new locations, national and international meetings industry updatings, FCB  and its members activities. The user can quickly search news thanks to 8 different macrotag of interest (Florence, Meeting Industry, Meetings, Conferences & Events, Green meetings, Press & Report, Unconventional and Video).

The new FCB website, completely renovated and more appealing, is easy to navigate thanks to three different microsites within it distinctly directed to FCB partners, delegates and event organizers. The website opens in English in order to show the international vocation of  FCB and has an online questionnaire that Florentine venues, hotels and operators that organize events in Florence can easily use to add every single event in the city. The Conference observatory will allow FCB to constantly monitor the economic performance of the MICE conference and plan right promotional strategies for the future.

All these online tools were developed by Uplink Web Agency Ltd. FCB thanks also Tecnoconference for the support for the app contents.
