Finnair to increase the frequency of flights from Pulkovo Airport

New flights will be operated on ATR 72 six days a week, thus expanding the service to three daily frequencies on each day except Saturday.

Starting on April 23, 2017, Finnair will add new flights from St. Petersburg to Helsinki. The carrier will increase the number of frequencies from 14 to 20 a week.

The new flight schedule will increase the capacity on the St. Petersburg – Helsinki route by 39% and allow passengers to choose new convenient connections to destinations in Europe, Asia and North America.

Finnair is the flag carrier of Finland and a member of the oneworld alliance. In 2016, the airline provided services to 71,500 passengers at Pulkovo St. Petersburg airport, representing a 10% increase year-on-year. The carrier is one of Top-5 international carriers working at Pulkovo in terms of the number of aircraft movements.

Pulkovo St. Petersburg airport is the fourth in Russia in terms of passenger traffic. In 2016, 13.3 million passengers flew via Pulkovo to 150 destinations in Russia and abroad. Since 2010, the airport in managed by the Northern Capital Gateway LLC, and international consortium that operates the airport and carries out its development project on the private-public partnership basis.
