First edition of Airport Solutions Mexico to open next week

Leading global companies show support for inaugural event.

A large number of leading global companies have demonstrated their support for the forthcoming Airport Solutions Mexico event, 3-4 May 2017 at the Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City. Among those committed are Rockwell Collins, Unisys, Huwaei, Enestas and SitWifi.

Unisys, a leading global information technology company, has come on board as Gold sponsor, along with LNG, CNG, LPG and hydrocarbons supplier and virtual pipeline solution provider Enestas and connectivity experts Huwaei. In addition connectivity provider, SitWifi are Silver sponsor while key avionics company Rockwell Collins has joined as an Associate sponsor.

The broad range of sectors of the aerospace industry represented by the companies supporting Airport Solutions Mexico is testament to the event itself. Airport Solutions Mexico is unique in that it will bring together the entire buying chain of the airport solutions industry providing a platform to connect suppliers with key industry stakeholders and decision makers whilst addressing key issues and solutions in the innovative two-day conference program.

“We are pleased to welcome these new sponsors on board,” says Timothy Hawes, Portfolio Director of Airport Solutions Global Series. “Each of them represents an important part of the industry and the commitment that they are showing illustrates the need that the market has for this event. Their support reinforces our conviction that now is the ideal time to be a part of the Latin America Airports sector: with the National Infrastructure Plan in place, the liberalising US/Mexico Air Transport Pact recently signed and a new $9 billion state of the art airport due to open in Mexico City in 2020; to name a few examples.”

Airport Solutions Mexico will provide a gateway to a greater Latin American audience where major airport infrastructure expansion projects are supporting the increased demand from rising passenger traffic. Airline traffic across Latin America rose 9.3% in 2015 and is further expected to grow 4.7% a year on average through to 2034. The airports sector in Mexico is projected to show significant growth and development in coming years, spurred on by burgeoning air passenger demand and a need to upgrade Mexico’s transport infrastructure to assist the country’s economic growth.

The two-day Airport Solutions Mexico exhibition and conference is expected to attract more than 2,000 B2B buyers and 200 delegates, spanning industry sectors ranging from airport security and emergency systems to cargo management, plus passenger terminal engineering  and construction, aircraft handling, and many others.

Conference tickets include access to the Airport Solutions Mexico opening ceremony (reserved seating), state of the industry address, full conference, documentation, lunch and access to the pre-scheduled meetings programme.
