Commencing the 16th Spanish destination available from East Midlands this year the airport now offers nine routes to Spain throughout the winter.
MAG-owned East Midlands Airport has celebrated Ryanair’s inaugural flight to Seville, the capital of southern Spain’s Andalusia region. Launching its twice-weekly service yesterday, Europe’s number one airline is the only carrier serving the 1,746-kilometre route and now offers 23 destinations from the airport.
As a result of its latest Spanish link – the largest country market served from the region – East Midlands Airport will see a 4.5% year-on-year increase in scheduled seats this winter. With a 40% share of all weekly seats from East Midlands to Spain, Ryanair is the leading airline of four serving the country during W17/18.
Commencing the 16th Spanish destination available from East Midlands this year the airport now offers nine routes to Spain throughout the winter.
Howard Ebison, Commercial Director, East Midlands Airport and Bournemouth Airport says: “Our passengers can say Ole to another new route from East Midlands Airport this weekend as we see the start of our winter sun services in what we expect to be a busy season.
