G Adventures announces September departures as UK government relaxes quarantine restrictions for Europe

The collection, which includes 21 departures to 7 countries, including Greece, Spain, Iceland, Croatia and Italy, will offer a range of tours from across G Adventures’ travel styles, from active trips and sailing adventures to local living style tours.

Following the release of the travel corridor list by the UK government, global adventure travel company G Adventures has launched a small collection of tours, complementing the government’s list of European destinations with relaxed restrictions, departing throughout September 2020.

The collection, which includes 21 departures to 7 countries, including Greece, Spain, Iceland, Croatia and Italy, will offer a range of tours from across G Adventures’ travel styles, from active trips and sailing adventures to local living style tours. All trips are suitable for those looking to create a ‘bubble’ holiday, with friends and family, or with a small group of like-minded travellers.

Following the announcement of G Adventures’ new Travel with Confidence policy, all tours will be subject to increased health and hygiene measures, to ensure the safety of all travellers and staff while in destination.

The announcement of the new travel corridors is a welcome signal that our UK travellers can begin to travel again. We’re excited to be able to offer travellers the opportunity to go away in September and have designed this collection to cater to travellers of all types; from the active lover to those simply wanting relaxation and some sunshine. With spaces limited on these incredible itineraries, which can be booked through our global sale up to the end of July, now is the time for travellers to bag themselves an amazing adventure at a great price,” comments Brian Young, managing director at G Adventures.

We’ve worked closely with our suppliers in these destinations over the past few months and are confident in the operation of these tours, keeping our travellers’ safety a top priority while providing the trip of a lifetime,” Young continues.

Over the past three months, G Adventures has seen an increase in interest from travellers seeking more active and physically challenging adventures. To cater to this trend, the collection will include an eight day Trekking Mont Blanc – Plus tour, which will see travellers taking on the challenging hiking circuit through Switzerland, Italy and France, as well as the eight day Walk the Camino de Santiago Plus, which offers walkers the opportunity to journey along Spain’s celebrated pilgrimage route.

For those wanting to enjoy some European sunshine and sea, two sailing itineraries in Greece and Italy will be available.

European sailing has always been very popular within our marine portfolio and these trips are ideal for those who want to remain more isolated by sleeping on board our yachts and catamarans. The trips are small by nature and offer the perfect level of sailing, on land exploration and down time,” comments Young.

Those looking for the privacy of a villa and the need to unpack only once can opt for one of three Local Living tours, which see the group stay with a local host family amongst the vineyards of Tuscany, on a traditional agriturismo in Sorrento and in a farm villa in Croatia. With daily excursions, offering travellers insight into local life, these trips offer a great community feel with the delicious food, wine and quaint local areas to be explored.

Our full programme of tours is currently suspended up to and including 31st August 2020 and we are closely evaluating the operations and safety of other departures in September, beyond this new collection, with no decision on further suspensions at this current time,” Young concludes.
