Get-e expands worldwide customer reach with global sales manager appointment

Ashley Hill began his extensive career at Thomas Cook and Swissport at Stansted Airport, before working in component distribution within defense & aerospace at Astute.

AMSTERDAM – Get-e, the global ground transportation service for airline crew, is announcing the appointment of Ashley Hill as global sales manager, to drive the growth of Get-e's digital solutions worldwide.

With more than 17 years of experience in the aviation industry, Hill will be supporting the adoption of Get-e's services globally, focusing particularly on airlines, wet lease companies, and fixed-based operators (FBOs) to provide crew transportation on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.

Hill began his extensive career at Thomas Cook and Swissport at Stansted Airport, before working in component distribution within defense & aerospace at Astute. Hill then returned to commercial aviation with roles at Gamit Ltd and FlyDocs, where he focused on leading the transition to document digitalisation. Most recently, Hill held the position of business development manager at ABM Aviation, winning lucrative contracts within terminal cleaning in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hill says: “Since a young age I have been passionate about aviation. My godparents worked at senior levels in the industry and I had my own interest in plane spotting, which led to me acquiring several hours towards PPL pilot’s licence in my teens.

“As an industry, aviation has traditionally been reluctant to trust new processes. However, this has changed in recent years as there is now a severe requirement to adapt or fade away, and we are witnessing a crucial transition to digitalisation in many departments of the industry. Get-e supports carriers on their digital journey by revolutionising administrative processes associated with crew transportation and I am looking forward to transforming this aspect of the operation for aviation businesses worldwide.”

Alexander van Deudekom, CEO and founder at Get-e says: “Hill’s experience across a variety of aviation sectors means he has direct insight into our clientele and identifying pain points within their operations. Through his appointment we will extend our outreach worldwide to more organisations who will profit from our services, particularly as the industry continues its post-pandemic recovery.”

Outside of his career, Hill lives in the UK with his wife and children and was previously a county-level football player and is now a keen cyclist and cricketer.
