Hawaiian Airlines adds more Los Angeles-Hawai'i flights for winter season

Second flight added between Los Angeles and Kahului from Nov. 20 to Jan. 12. Fourth flight added between Los Angeles and Honolulu from Dec. 5 to Dec. 22.

HONOLULU – Southern California travelers who are looking to escape the cold during the holidays have another reason to visit Hawai’i this winter. Hawaiian Airlines announced it has added more flights between Los Angeles and Maui and O’ahu for the November 2014 to January 2015 period, offering an expanded schedule with more flexibility for holiday travel this year.

“It’s never too early to plan your trip for the holidays so we are very pleased to offer these additional flights between Los Angeles and the Hawaiian Islands,” said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian Airlines executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “The demand for travel between Southern California and Hawai’i is increasing especially during peak season so we are happy to answer the call for more flights from our customers.”

Hawaiian Airlines currently operates daily year-round non-stop service between Los Angeles and Kahului, Maui. Beginning Nov. 20, a second flight will be added that will range from four-times weekly to daily over seven weeks of service, adding more than 20,000 seats to both Los Angeles and Maui travel markets.

Thrice daily service is currently offered between Los Angeles and Honolulu. Beginning Dec. 5, a fourth flight will be added that will range from three- to five-times weekly service throughout the month of December. A total of more than 8,400 seats will be added to both Los Angeles and O’ahu travel markets over four weeks of service.

Both seasonal flight additions will be operated by Hawaiian Airlines’ wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, seating 264 passengers in a two-class cabin, with 18 in Business Class and 246 in the Main Cabin. Hawaiian Airlines’ B767 amenities include increased legroom and roomy interior, along with iPad minis available for rent featuring more than 100 hours of the latest Hollywood releases, television shows, and a variety of exciting interactive games.
