DUBLIN – Hertz Ireland, in partnership start-up Smart Traveller, announces the official launch of innovative tourism platform hertzsmarttraveller.com, a website devoted to offering personalised tourist assistance and recommendations on tourist attractions and services for visitors to Ireland.
Smart Traveller has partnered with Hertz Ireland to pioneer a new service, which is designed to give tourists the best possible advice on where to Visit, Eat, Stay and Shop.
Once a traveller has booked their car hire with Hertz, they will have access to the service which allows visitors to go to places they might not find elsewhere in travel guides.
John Barry, Marketing Manager at Hertz Ireland, commenting on the launch of the website said: “Currently Hertz hires half a million cars in Ireland each year to tourists who will visit, eat, stay and shop around Ireland. Leveraging an interactive and easy-to-use web platform, Hertz Smart Traveller is able to enhance experience for these tourists travelling to Ireland and to provide a 24/7 online service that escorts these tourists.”
On presentation of the Hertz car fob, tourists are then able to receive special offers at the locations which are signed up to the service. The website further allows tourists to check on the local weather, currency rates, and local amenities. Hertz Smart Traveller also offers their customers 24/7 telephone helpline support.
CEO & Founder of Smart Traveller Jim McCoy said: “We are very excited about the partnership with a well-known and established international company to launch our venture. We already have 1000 locations signed up to the website, and we are hoping this will make it easier for visitors to Ireland to find bespoke places off the beaten track.”
In addition to providing Hertz customers with excellent services, Hertz Smart Traveller are creating X jobs in X and are attracting travellers to visit smaller, independent businesses and hotels located around Ireland.
