CHARLOTTE – Global restaurateur HMSHost announced that it has been awarded a 10-year contract for the company to continue to operate and expand food & beverage offerings at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Under the contract, HMSHost will continue to operate to 2030, with 2015 sales of approximately $120 million.

HMSHost currently operates 43 dining locations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport including its exclusive restaurant 1897 Market, recognized as 2016 Best New Food & Beverage Concept by both Airport Revenue News and Airports Council International-North America; and Dale Jr.’s Whisky River, recognized as Best Airport Bar by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards. HMSHost also operates other well-loved brands including Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Brookwood Farms BBQ, and the award-winning Beaudevin, as well as the nation’s favorite coffee brand, Starbucks, among several other brands. HMSHost also partners with multiple locally-owned restaurateurs, who currently operate 15 locations, to deliver a diverse dining program at Charlotte Airport.
This contract will result in several enhancements to existing restaurants as well as some new and exciting restaurant locations. Additional brand details will be available over the next several months.
