Inntopia and Route 802 bring a centralized travel reservation system to Vermont

Route 802 is launching Inntopia’s cloud-based platform to power e-commerce and contact center reservations in the state’s primary tourism website, VermontVacation.com.

WILLISTON, VT. – A partnership launched between the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM), the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Route 802, and Inntopia, is working to achieve a broad public benefit: increased tourism business. Unprecedented, the partnership offers a seamless shopping experience to its customers, regardless of where or what they are reserving. Lift tickets, transportation, season passes, activities, and a variety of other resort and lodging products can be handled through web, mobile and phone reservation systems.

Route 802 is launching Inntopia’s cloud-based platform to power e-commerce and contact center reservations in the state’s primary tourism website, VermontVacation.com. Route 802 will utilize Inntopia’s full suite of travel reservation products and their recently released Responsive Commerce design to deliver the same functionality in Vermont’s Official Mobile App, ThisisVT.

“This is a phenomenal opportunity for Vermont tourism in general, and a great call to action for the State’s marketing efforts,” stated Al Levy, Founder of Route 802. “Inntopia has hit their development stride just as mobile is becoming the go-to platform for travel bookings and with over 50% of Vermont’s lodging inventory already utilizing Inntopia, Route 802 is able to provide a pervasive, local, and competitive high-touch channel for our lodging and activities.”

“We’re proud to partner with Route 802 as well as VDTM and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce to enhance opportunities and access for visitors and residents wanting to experience all that Vermont has to offer,” said Trevor Crist, CEO of Inntopia. “The use of our Responsive Commerce design will also ensure that whether you use a desktop computer, tablet, or mobile phone to make reservations and purchases, it can be done seamlessly with ease.”

“In an industry competing for international and domestic tourism dollars, the fact that we can work directly with in-state partners to develop sophisticated and competitive marketing technology speaks to the entrepreneurial opportunities and energizing culture of Vermont,” VDTM Commissioner Megan Smith said. “As we modernize and enhance our customer service capabilities, this partnership is also a win for local economies, our tech industry and tourism overall.”
