International Tourism Investment Conference and African Tourism Board visit Tanzanian Tourism Sector

It is from this backdrop that ATB in working closely with the Ministry of Tourism in close colaboration with the Minister of Natural Resources & Tourism Dr. Damas Ndumbaro that seeks collaborations to drive, support and reshape the destiny of Tourism in this gem of Africa that offers so much for the investors and travellers.

A high powered tourism delegation led by Mr. Ayoub Ibrahim, the Group Executive Officer of International Tourism Investment Conference (ITIC) and Mr. Cuthbert Ncube, the Executive Chairman of African Tourism Board (ATB) have paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism Dr. Damas Ndumbaro at his office in Dar-Es-Salaam, the Kalo Africa News reported. 
 
In addition the delegation from Bulgaria also visited the National Tourism College of Tanzania which has been instrumental in training key front line Ambassadors who are currently playing critical roles in driving the tourism economic growth. 
 
“Tourism has become the leading economic sector that is providing direct employment, foreign exchange and global recognition, with such enjoyment on wildlife tourism with the focus on coastal and cultural Tourism which have enhanced Tanzania tourism in attracting diverse market segments both for tourists and visitors and also for investment opportunities,” stated the Minister. 
 
It is from this backdrop that ATB in working closely with the Ministry of Tourism in close colaboration with the Minister of Natural Resources & Tourism Dr. Damas Ndumbaro that seeks collaborations to drive, support and reshape the destiny of Tourism in this gem of Africa that offers so much for the investors and travellers.
 
“The political and economic stability that have played an essential roles in the process of economic growth in Tanzania which has drawn a reasonable traffic from the International community to the country. The passionate drive by H.E. President Samia Suluhu Hassan in her drive to become the number one country’s tourism Ambassador in promoting Tanzania as a foremost tourism destination in Africa, also placing the sector as a core pillar for sustainable growth in the Country,” said Minister Dr. Damas.

The Hon. Minister emphasized the need for a closer global collaboration in fulfilling the objectives of the major economic drivers that will lead to both independence and economic emancipation of Africa’s majority.
 
On the side of the main discussions the ATB engaged with the Tanzanian Tourism Board to collaborate and work closely with the country in achieving its projected 30% growth in GDP from direct sustainable tourism growth.
 
If there was a time for Africa to rise and grow, the KAN news agency reported there is no better time than now for greater economic growth that will benefit the Continent at large.
