The Institute of Travel Management (ITM) is on the countdown to its first in-person event in Ireland since the start of the pandemic. The ITM Ireland Summit & Social takes place in Dublin on 9th June at The Alex Hotel. It will give Ireland-based corporate travel buyer and supplier members a valuable opportunity to reconnect in person and hear from expert speakers as they share their views on the business travel post pandemic and key trends reshaping the industry.

ITM is the UK & Ireland’s leading professional body for business travel managers and buyers, who are responsible within their company for buying and managing their organisation’s business travel requirements. ITM’s membership also encompasses diverse travel industry suppliers, including travel management companies, airlines, accommodation and technology providers.  ITM also has a prestigious partnership with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the world’s largest business travel and meetings trade organization, meaning ITM is the exclusive business travel industry body representing the GBTA in UK & Ireland.

Keynote speaker at the Ireland Summit is Bill Byrne, SVP Global Sales, Aer Lingus who will discuss the impact of the last two years on the airline, reshaping the recovery and future priorities. Other sessions include insights from Niall Carson, General Manager, FREE NOW Ireland, and Jo Greenfield, Head of Sales Europe at FCM Travel Solutions. Alison Rogan, ITM Chair & Head of Travel & Expense at Barclays, together with Scott Davies, ITM CEO will share ITM’s recent buyer priorities survey results and give an update on the organisation’s strategy and membership resources.

The half day event begins with a roundtable session bringing together ITM’s buyer members to share and discuss current challenges impacting on their business travel programmes, and seek advice from industry peers on issues they are facing such as implementation of SCA, EU travel regulations, Covid-related concerns and sustainable travel objectives. The Summit culminates with a social networking drinks reception at The Davenport Hotel.

Registration to attend the Summit is free for ITM’s Business and Connect Buyer Members and Business Supplier Members.

Scott Davies, CEO, Institute of Travel Management said: “We are excited to be back in Ireland for this Summit and to reconnect in person with our Ireland based members after such a long and challenging two years for all of us in the business travel industry. This is a great opportunity for our Ireland-based members to discuss their challenges and changing remit in person as they rebuild their business travel programmes, and hear the views of expert speakers on the trends that are reshaping business travel in Ireland.”
