Jayride continues global expansion, now live in China and Russia

The latest expansion means Jayride now offers fixed-price airport transfers at 1500+ airports in 69 countries through partnerships with 3000+ transport companies.

Jayride’s global rollout is now in its final stages with the company today announcing it has successfully launched transport services at more than 130 airports throughout China, Russia and six other countries.

The latest expansion means Jayride now offers fixed-price airport transfers at 1500+ airports in 69 countries through partnerships with 3000+ transport companies.

Managing Director Rod Bishop says Jayride’s arrival in China – which the International Air Transport Association (IATA) predicts will overtake the United States as the world’s largest aviation market by 2024 – is especially significant.

“China is the world’s most dynamic aviation market with extremely strong business and tourism fundamentals,” says Bishop.

“We are now live in 38 Chinese airports, including Beijing and Shanghai, both in the world’s top ten for passenger volume, and are very excited about the potential this vast market offers our business.”

He says Chinese transport companies have embraced the platform. “We’ve had a great response and are working with 26 local airport transfer operators, which gives us really good coverage.”

Russia also presents a major opportunity, say Bishop.

Airline passenger numbers across the Russian Federation have been growing strongly through 2019, according to the national Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), with May volume up 11.5% over last year.

At present Jayride has partnerships with 22 operators in Russia enabling it to market and sell transfers across 65 of the country’s largest airports.

“It’s early days but we’ve made a positive start in Russia and there’s clear demand for our services,” Bishop says.

In addition to China and Russia, Jayride has launched in Colombia (9 airports), Romania (10 airports), Bulgaria (4 airports), Tunisia (5 airports), Latvia (1 airport) and Estonia (1 airport).

“Our goal is to be offering transfer services covering 85% of world airport passenger trips and we expect to do that in the very near future when we add Japan and 10 other countries across Eastern Europe, Central America and Middle East,” says Bishop.
