The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) announced that the Dubai International Convention Centre would be promoted in its operational form at the forthcoming European Incentive and Business Travel Meetings (EIBTM) exhibition that is scheduled to take place at the Palexpo Exhibition Centre in Geneva from May 20th to 22nd.

EIBTM is one of the most comprehensive events of its kind in all of Europe attracting almost 2000 exhibitors from over 100 countries which makes it among the largest and most far-reaching show for the business travel industry, said DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad, according to a press release. He noted that the organizers Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) are expecting some 5,000 visitors for this year`s edition including around 3,000-hosted buyers from around the world. A series of workshops, seminars, conferences, presentations and networking events running alongside the event ensure that exhibitors get an opportunity to meet with professionals from the business travel industry and to showcase DICC to this target audience, bin Fahad stressed.

EIBTM is an annual global exhibition for the incentive, business travel and meetings industry organised by RTE who are a part of Reed Exhibitions Ltd. that manage over 450 events in 32 countries, serving 49 different industries in 12 key sectors with some 156,000 exhibiting companies and over 9 million visitors.

DICC opens for business at a time when competition in the meetings and incentive segment is growing, generating a need for a venue that is easily accessible, cost-effective, competent and exciting. Our participation at EIBTM is intended to create increased awareness among the corporate conference organisers and incentive and meeting planners across Europe about the facilities we have on offer, bin Fahad said.

Dubai is a gateway to one of the world`s most dynamic regions with enviable sea and airport facilities, modern communication systems, comprehensive business support capabilities and a stable financial sector, coupled with multi-faceted attractions as a tourist destination.
