In recent months Jordan  has experienced a surge in demand for spa and well-being holidays – the perfect solution to the stresses and strains  of modern day life.

120 metres below sea level, the Ma’in Spring Eco – Sports Park and Spa complex nestles between sheer ravines, home to naturally fed mineral waters and hyper – thermal waterfalls. The rich mineral water, most of which becomes heated to 63o C by underground lave fissures, feeds 109 hot and cold springs.

The Spa at the resort has recently implemented a Harvard Good Health Management Programme, which now provides a range of spa treatments including, dieticians, professional trainers and six highly qualified physiotherapists.

Because of the year round water in the river and spring the valley is always full of lush flora and fauna, which is a stark contract to the surrounding dramatically rising desert mountains. This makes it an ideal location for gentle walks and hikes, which can further supplement the Spa’s health and well being programmes.

If you want a slightly deeper form of relaxation why not venture 400 metres below sea level to the wonderful mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea. The Sanctuary Spa at the Movenpick has also invested heavily in three new theatments and an additional pool making it the leading Spa hotel on the Dead Sea. Some of the new treatments are unique to the Sanctuary Zara Spa and cannot be obtained anywhere else in the Middle East.
