In the development of their apps, transavia.com, together with MTT, put a strong emphasis on ensuring a seamless search & booking flow and comprehensive booking management.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS and DUBLIN, IRELAND – transavia.com, the Dutch airline and member of the Air France KLM Group, recently launched new mobile applications for iPhone and Android with Mobile Travel Technologies Ltd. (MTT), the leading provider of mobile solutions for airlines. The transavia.com apps enable flight search and booking as well as the ability to add baggage, view promotions, flight offers and manage bookings.

In the development of their apps, transavia.com, together with MTT, put a strong emphasis on ensuring a seamless search & booking flow and comprehensive booking management. The resulting apps have a slick user interface with quick user-friendly search and booking flows. transavia.com’s mobile apps are key to the airline’s strategy to add value to the customer travel experience by offering a constant travel companion at each stage of their journey.

With their apps, transavia.com is responding to increased mobile internet usage amongst its customers, such is the case in all markets for airlines worldwide. According to Google Travel, flight queries via PC worldwide were static for the first time in the last quarter of 2012, while mobile & tablet flight queries continue to grow. Google predicts that 44% of flight queries will be on mobile throughout 2013.

Commenting on their recently launched mobile applications, Roy Scheerder, Chief Commercial Officer at transavia.com said “With our apps, we want to ensure our valued customers enjoy a great mobile experience when booking & flying with us. As well as enabling flight booking and check-in on selected routes, a key role of the transavia.com apps is to bring an engaging touch-point which provides relevant and real-time information to customers during their journey. Already we are seeing great take up in terms of mobile downloads and flight bookings. Additional mobile functionality, such as check-in across all of our routes, is planned for the near future as we continue to improve the apps.”

Gerry Samuels, Chief Executive Officer of MTT stated “We are delighted to work with transavia.com for their iPhone and Android applications. transavia.com has invested in a mobile solution with MTT that has a great user experience and the growth in downloads & mobile flight bookings since launch is testament to this. At MTT we are committed to enabling airlines to launch the best mobile solutions to meet the increasing demands of their customers for this channel.”

transavia.com’s mobile apps were built using MTT’s cross platform mobile suite for the travel industry. MTT’s mobile platform supports native apps, hybrid apps, HTML5 mobile web, advanced push notification services and easily integrates with airlines existing systems.
