MS Lafayette to join the CroisiEurope fleet in March 2014

The four-star premium MS Lafayette will meet the demands of today’s cruise guests in terms of both comfort and technology. Each of the ship’s 43 comfortable cabins – including four single cabins and one for guests with disabilities.

CroisiEurope, is delighted to announce details of a brand new ship, the 84-guest MS Lafayette, which will join the fleet in March 2014 and operate on the Rhine between Amsterdam and Basel through some of the most beautiful areas of Holland, Germany, France and Switzerland.

The four-star premium MS Lafayette will meet the demands of today’s cruise guests in terms of both comfort and technology. Each of the ship’s 43 comfortable cabins – including four single cabins and one for guests with disabilities – is 15m2 and features either floor to ceiling or large picture window, modern en-suite bathroom, a flat screen television, hairdryer, safe, radio and individually controlled air-conditioning and heating. Guests can socialise and soak up the warm, convivial atmosphere in the friendly, stylish lounge bar or relax and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air on the sun deck. The spacious restaurant will serve an impressive buffet breakfast as well as three-course lunches and dinners offering a variety of superb French and regional dishes that complement the region in which the ship travels. Guests will also enjoy complimentary beer and wine at lunch and dinner as well as open bar throughout the voyage (not including Champagne, special wines or fine brandies).

MS Lafayette’s charming multi-lingual crew of 26 will ensure that guests’ every need is catered for so all they have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the comfort, culture and gastronomy that can be found on every CroisiEurope cruise.

The MS Lafayette will be named in Strasbourg on 28th March and the godmother will be Mrs Mary Rose Reade, the wife of the American Consul in Strasbourg. Following the naming ceremony, the ship will transfer to Basel where it will commence operating a brand new nine-day Rhine itinerary. The cruise between Basel and Amsterdam will cross four countries, pass through the world-famous Black Forest wooded mountain range of south west Germany and stop in some of Europe’s most stunning cities, including Aachen, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Koblenz, Mainz, Strasbourg and Breisach.

Operating between April and October 2014, there will be 11 departures from Amsterdam to Basel and 12 departures from Basel to Amsterdam.
