National and international destinations will come together at FITUR LGBT+

The FITUR section specialised in promoting the diversity of different destinations, will be held this year under the slogan “Love to travel”. FITUR LGBT+ will feature a programme of talks and presentations at an edition sponsored once again this year by Iberia.

MADRID – FITUR LGBT+, the section of FITUR specialising in the LGBT segment is organising a new edition as part of the tourism industry’s first major annual event, to be held from 18 to 22 January 2023 at IFEMA MADRID. As in previous editions, this area will feature a series of talks and presentations to develop different themes with the aim of revitalising tourism and promoting the diversity of the different destinations. “Love to travel” will be the claim of this year’s edition, which will be sponsored once again by Iberia.

FITUR LGBT+ will highlight the preferences and motivations of LGTB+ travellers, best practices in inclusive tourism and trends in inclusive events and experiences, as well as the different destinations that will showcase their proposals in this area.

FITUR LGBT+ will officially begin on Wednesday 18 January, at an event attended by institutional representatives from the different Administrations. Thursday 19 and Friday 20 will be dedicated to national and international destinations, with the aim of boosting and revitalising tourism.

Destinations and companies

Representatives of destinations and companies such as Madrid, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Extremadura, Euskadi, Castilla-La Mancha, Zaragoza, Andalusia, Torremolinos, Comunidad Valenciana, Miami, Buenos Aires, Loottis, Gran Muthu Rainbow, Bolleras Viajeras, JN Global Project, Asoc., Diversa Global and the Spanish Network of Destinations for LGTBI Diversity, among others, will discuss international tourism, institutional tourism strategy, inclusive sport, the metaverse and the wedding sector, among others.

Key issues such as media challenges, digitalisation in LGBT+ Tourism, sustainability and new family models will also be addressed.

Finally, during the weekend (Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January), different shows and activities will be offered in a more entertaining format for the general public.
