Navtech’s consolidated global presence unifies legacy brands

Navtech, Inc. is consolidating its global organization – including European Aeronautical Group (EAG) – under the Navtech umbrella name.  Use of the Navtech brand name on all the company’s assets is expected to eliminate any ambiguity and make it easier for customers and prospects around the world to find, recognize, and make use of the company’s products and services. The change comes as part of the company’s larger initiative to reach a new level of efficiency and customer intimacy.

“We’re deeply proud of EAG’s roots and reputation in the market. Its legacy remains in the quality of the products and the commitment of the staff – the foundation from which we’re building,” said new Navtech CEO Mike Hulley. “Our focus now is on making it easier for customers and prospects to partner with us. That’s much simpler with one company brand name.”

EAG was formed in 2002 through the acquisition by SAS Flight Support of Thales’ Aeronautical Services Group. The merging of unique product portfolios, Navigation Data and Aerad Charting departments from Thales, plus Flight Planning, Route Manual and Aerodromes and Performance departments from SAS, gave EAG a far wider market presence and customer solution capability. EAG was acquired by Navtech in November 2005, matching Navtech’s commercial aviation dispatch and crew planning products with EAG’s aeronautical charting and navigation data solution sets, creating one of the industry’s most comprehensive product portfolios.

A key initiative within Navtech’s consolidated global presence is an all-new company website utilizing the industry-specific top level domain of .aero. With its singular focus and certification of all sites, using .aero is a reinforcement of Navtech’s commitment to the aviation industry.

While Navtech’s new unified global presence is the most visible change, the company is rebuilding its internal processes to encourage and use ongoing feedback from the market in the development, enhancement, and quality of Navtech’s aeronautical products and services.  The aim of the closer alignment is to deliver the best, most responsive service in the industry; create products that become ever more relevant to the needs of the market; and provide better, faster, more efficient product support. Additionally, the company is recommitting to long-term customer relationships. Navtech intends to win customers with its value-added products and keep them with its superior service.

“Navtech is on the move, developing a unique and lasting position in the market by delivering an all new level of customer support and personalized service at very competitive prices,” said Mr. Hulley. “Navtech intends to set new benchmarks for inspired product delivery and customer service for the aviation industry – a commitment captured in our modified tag line ‘Inspiring Aviation.’”
