New breed of mobile travel apps takes on Lonely Planet and Time out

The first three apps from Advendus, a new breed of mobile-centric travel guide, have been launched today on the iOS platform.

LONDON – Edward Tsang, the developer behind recent App Store hits in the Where to Eat? and Where to Go? series has launched the Advendus travel brand with apps catering for Beijing, New York and Paris.

“I’m tremendously excited to release these apps as our first set of mobile travel guides. Many of our users have been consulted throughout the planning and development process, so we’re eager to see how a wider audience responds.”

The apps combine new content on hotels, bars and entertainment, with full transportation maps and route planning.

Commented Tsang, “the vision was to give every traveller what they need in one single app, with particular attention paid to people that don’t have time to plan ahead. That’s where features like the ‘route suggestion’ tool come in very handy.”

OnDemandWorld, an independent, privately-held, profitable web and mobile platform development company based in London, UK, was formed in 2008. Its goal is to deliver applications that are both elegant and useful.
