No1 Lounges doubles capacity at Gatwick Airport

As impressive new lounge in the South Terminal is revealed.

Multi award-winning airport lounge operator No1 Lounges continues to expand its footprint at the UK’s second largest airport with the launch of a new lounge at Gatwick’s South Terminal.

The new lounge replaces No1’s first ever site, which opened its doors in the South Terminal seven year ago. Designed in the spirit of the Jet-set age, the new space is 50% bigger and boasts unrivalled panoramic runway views, an elegant island bar, spacious bistro, sports lounge, and a range of other private spaces. No1 expects to welcome over 300,000 guests at the South Terminal this year, in addition to over 500,000 guests in its newly refurbished lounges in the North Terminal where it has doubled its seating capacity.

This is the latest in a long line of exciting developments for the fast-growing company which last year launched no1lounges.com (a sister website to No1traveller.com), Clubrooms (its most exclusive lounging experience) and a new visual identity.

Phil Cameron, Founder & CEO of No1 Lounges said: “We’re passionate about delivering great service experiences and are always looking for ways to innovate and broaden our lounging offer. When we launched at Gatwick Airport in 2009 we saw about 50,000 guests – compared to 800,000 this year. That’s phenomenal growth and we’re proud that our success at Gatwick is based on the quality of our product.”

Guy Stephenson, Chief Commercial Officer Gatwick Airport said: “We are delighted to see the doubling of No1 Lounges’ capacity at Gatwick which follows our busiest ever year as we continue to grow and invest in delivering a world-class passenger experience. Our goal is to ensure our passengers’ journey starts the moment they arrive at the airport and No1 Lounges plays an important role in that journey for a growing number of our passengers.”
