North American Aircraft Services Inc. establish EMEA Headquarters at Shannon Airport

The US parent company has established an Irish subsidiary, NAAS Aircraft Services International Ltd, to manage its EMEA operations at Shannon Free Zone in Co. Clare, located next to Shannon International Airport.

SHANNON, IRELAND- North American Aircraft Services (NAAS) Inc., the global US-based aerospace service provider, announced its plans to create a new strategic corporate headquarters at Shannon, to serve its growing client base in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In tandem with this, the company announced that it has acquired Sligo Airport based specialist aviation company, Usher Aviation Ireland Ltd.

The US parent company has established an Irish subsidiary, NAAS Aircraft Services International Ltd, to manage its EMEA operations at Shannon Free Zone in Co. Clare, located next to Shannon International Airport.

Ray Raoufi, Managing Director, NAAS Aircraft Services International said: “This is a very positive initiative for NAAS and our strategy is to complement existing service providers at Shannon Airport and to work diligently to further enhance the powerful synergies that exist at the airport. Consistent with the growth of the company, NAAS hope to create additional employment at Shannon for highly skilled technicians.”

NAAS Aircraft Services International Ltd. is establishing a solid platform at Shannon from where they can manage and control the growth of the company across the EMEA region. They are quickly becoming global leaders in a wide range of aircraft maintenance services.

Barry Usher, founder of Usher Aviation Ireland Ltd. and General Manager of NAAS Aircraft Services International Ltd., is enthusiastic about the acquisition by NAAS: “At this stage of Usher Aviation Ireland Ltd’s growth this is a fantastic opportunity for further quality growth and expansion. We are looking forward to developing our business model in Sligo into additional specialist services. We intend to become even more involved in the corporate and military sectors”.

Commenting on the significance of the announcement for Shannon, Rose Hynes, Chairman of Shannon Airport said: “The establishment of NAAS is the first aviation business to locate at Shannon since the separation of Shannon Airport from the Dublin Airport Authority. It marks an historic milestone in our bid to develop an International Aviation Services Centre (IASC) at Shannon and is a very welcome addition to the existing cluster of well established, high calibre, aviation industries.”
