The new base at Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is Norwegian’s fourth base in Spain, along with Alicante, Malaga and Las Palmas.
Norwegian continues its expansion in Europe and announced the opening of a new base of operations in Tenerife. Along with the new crew base, Norwegian expands its Spanish route network by adding more destinations and frequencies.
The new base at Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is Norwegian’s fourth base in Spain, along with Alicante, Malaga and Las Palmas.
“Our new base at Tenerife is established to meet the great demand for quality flights at a low fare between Europe and this beautiful island. We see a major passenger potential between Spain, Germany and UK. The great response to our routes between Spain and the Nordic also encourages us to increase frequencies to our existing route map,” says Norwegian’s CEO Bjorn Kjos.
New German routes and increased number of flights
Norwegian opens two new routes between Berlin (SXF) and Gran Canaria and Tenerife starting on February 1 and 2, 2014, respectively. The airline also increases the number of flights between Hamburg and Malaga and Tenerife as well as between Malaga and Munich and Malaga and Koln.
Increased number of UK flights
From today until December 31, Norwegian will operate three weekly flights between Malaga and London Gatwick as well as four weekly flights between Tenerife and London. Norwegian will operate daily flights between Malaga and London from February 14 as well as Tenerife and London from 31 January.
Flight schedule new German routes
- Tenerife – Berlin: Norwegian will operate two weekly flights Thursday and Saturday between Tenerife (TFS) and Berlin (SFX) from February 1.
- Gran Canaria – Berlin: Norwegian will operate two weekly flights Thursday and Sunday between Gran Canaria (LPA) and Berlin (SFX) from February 2.
Flight schedule increased German routes
- Tenerife – Hamburg: Norwegian will increase from two to three weekly flights Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday between Tenerife (TFS) and Hamburg (HAM) from February 4.
- Malaga – Hamburg: Norwegian will increase operation from three to four weekly flights – on Mondays,Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays between Malaga (AGP) and Hamburg (HAM) from February 16.
- Malaga – Munich; Norwegian will increase operation from two to three weekly flights on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays between Malaga (AGP) and Munich (MUC) from February 15.
- Malaga – Koln: Norwegian will increase operation from three to four weekly flights on Tuesdays,Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays between Malaga (AGP) and Koln (CGN) from February 18.

- Malaga – London: Norwegian will operate three weekly flights between Malaga (AGP) and London Gatwick (LGW) until February 14, 2014 – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Between March 1 and March 29 there will be seven weekly flights.
- Tenerife – London: Norwegian will operate four weekly flights between Tenerife (TFS) and London Gatwick (LGW) until December 31, 2013 – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Between January 31 and March 29,there will be seven weekly flights.

Norway
- Malaga – Oslo: Norwegian will operate five weekly flights between Malaga (AGP) and Oslo (OSL) until December 31,2013 – on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Between February 14 until March 5, there will be six weekly flights. From March 5, there will be seven weekly flights.
- Tenerife – Oslo: Norwegian will operate two weekly flights between Tenerife (TFS) and Oslo (OSL).
Sweden
- Stockholm – Tenerife: Norwegian will operate three weekly flights between Stockholm (ARN) and Tenerife (TFS) until March 29, 2014 – on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
- Gothenburg – Tenerife: Norwegian will operate two weekly flights between Gothenburg (GOT) and Tenerife (TFS) until March 25, 2014 – on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Denmark
- Copenhagen – Tenerife: Norwegian will operate three weekly flights between Copenhagen (CPH) and Tenerife (TFS) until March 27, 2014 – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
