CHESTER, ENGLAND – One million Etihad Guest Miles offered in exclusive promotion for new Etihad Guest Credit Card customers in the UK – enabling four lucky customers to fly almost anywhere worldwide

MBNA and Etihad Airways have joined together to launch a compelling new credit card offer for UK customers.

The Etihad Guest Credit Card Account comes with no annual fee and offers eligible new customers the opportunity to earn Etihad Guest Miles, which can be redeemed on upgrades and flights with Etihad Airways and more than 15 of its airline partners to thousands of destinations worldwide, or on 6,000 non-air products from the airlines award-winning online Reward Shop.

The account comes with two credit cards – one American Express card and one Visa card – to provide customers with maximum flexibility and the ability to earn rewards in the most advantageous way. New customers successfully applying for the credit card account will earn 1.5 Etihad Guest Miles for every £1 they spend on their Etihad Guest American Express card and 1.5 Etihad Guest Miles for every £2 they spend on their Visa card. As a special promotion, the account also offers triple Etihad Guest Miles for Etihad operated flights in first class and double Etihad Guest Miles for Etihad operated flights in business class taken during the first three months of opening an account.

The account also offers a range of exclusive promotions for new customers, including a one million Etihad Guest Mile giveaway, plus 5,000 bonus Etihad Guest Miles for every customer who makes a purchase worth £250 or more in the first 90 days of opening an account. The card is available now at http://www.etihad.com/ukcreditcard.

Michael Donald, MBNA’s Business Development and Marketing executive, said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside Etihad Airways to launch the new Etihad Guest Credit Card Account for UK customers. Throughout our 20 years in the UK we’ve been a business built on strong and successful relationships, so we are proud to add to these with Etihad Airways, a brand known the world over.”

Barry Green, vice president of CRM and Loyalty at Etihad Airways, added: “We are delighted to partner with MBNA and to launch this new Etihad Guest Credit Card Account, the first time we have offered a credit card in the UK.

“The account has many great benefits for Etihad Guest members, especially during this launch period, so we anticipate considerable demand from those signing up as they each have a chance to win 250,000 Etihad Guest Miles.”

The Etihad Guest Credit Card Account offers zero percent interest on all flight purchases booked directly at http://www.etihad.com/uk for 12 months from the date of opening an account. It also offers zero percent interest for six months on all balance transfers and money transfers made within 90 days of opening an account (a handling fee of two percent applies for both balance transfers and money transfers).

Representative example 18.9% p.a. variable on card purchases. This is equivalent to 18.9% APR representative variable based on a credit limit of £1200.
