OneJet confirms authorization to increase schedule frequency and routings

Secretary LaHood and CEO welcome additional carrier to OneJet program.

PITTSBURGH – OneJet, the air transportation network that provides increased access to nonstop travel in small and medium size markets, announced that operations within its network have received Department of Transportation economic authority to increase schedule frequency and routings. Smyrna, TN based regional operator Corporate Flight Management will be the first carrier within the OneJet program to hold this designation, with its operations assigned to Pittsburgh International for services beginning on June 8th.

Former U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Ray LaHood, a senior advisor to the OneJet program, stated: “Through the use of right sized aircraft and smart capacity optimization, OneJet is innovatively creating highly accessible nonstop travel options in U.S. regional air markets. Today’s announcement represents a key milestone in the program’s development and will lead to an acceleration of service expansion, providing increased scheduled frequency and routings for travelers, with flights continuing to operate with highest levels of safety and service.”

OneJet confirmed that all services will be transitioned to this upgraded platform over a two month period, with an initial deployment to Pittsburgh, along with a re-assignment of aircraft. Flight operations will expand to Monday through Friday service, with multiple daily flights in certain markets.

The Company noted that inventory will be restricted for flight dates during April and May while the operational transition occurs. Upgraded flights are now available for sale for all departures June 8th onward, through Expedia and all major corporate travel agencies, including Carslon Wagonlit and BCD Travel.

Matthew Maguire, OneJet’s CEO, commented: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Corporate Flight Management to the OneJet program. The appointment reflects CFM’s demonstrated operational wherewithal and experience, with a seasoned management team and commitment to operational excellence. We look forward to working closely with them to provide even greater travel options and convenience for our customers.”

The company expects to add one or more additional operating carriers to this upgraded program before the third quarter of 2016.
