StayPoland owns three popular websites: destination specialist StayPoland.com, reservation platform for skiers EuropeMountains.com and price comparison engine HotelCalculator.com.
Independent Poland-based hotel reservation players joined forces. It was announced that eTRAVEL, a subsidiary of NETMEDIA SA, a Warsaw stock exchange company, acquired a 51% stake in the online travel agency StayPoland.
StayPoland owns three popular websites: destination specialist StayPoland.com, reservation platform for skiers EuropeMountains.com and price comparison engine HotelCalculator.com. The websites are visited each month by around 200,000 users. Since 2003 StayPoland has served more than 230,000 customers, including 27,000 people from the UK and 8,000 from the USA.
eTRAVEL will power hotel reservations on StayPoland.com. The integration is expected to be finalized by the beginning of November. The takeover will also help eTRAVEL increase the number of directly contracted hotels in Poland to 3,000 and reach annual roomnight sales volume over 25 million euros.
With eTRAVEL on board StayPoland.com’s will continue with investments into its “country travel gateway” formula: websites selling all travel services available in one destination.
