Park Holidays UK welcomes Dorset park to its portfolio

Located in the village of Charmouth on the Jurassic Coast, the park is set in tranquil Dorset countryside close to the popular coastal resort of Lyme Regis.

Park Holidays UK has bolstered its already strong presence in the West Country with the acquisition of long-established Wood Farm Caravan Park in Dorset.

Located in the village of Charmouth on the Jurassic Coast, the park is set in tranquil Dorset countryside close to the popular coastal resort of Lyme Regis.

Wood Farm joins the seven other parks operated by Park Holidays UK in Dorset and Devon, and brings to 32 the number of parks now in the group's portfolio.

Wood Farm has been owned by the same local family for around 50 years, and boasts a long list of regional and national tourism awards for its quality standards.

Covering 38 acres, the park has around 300 pitches in total for caravan holiday homes and for guests camping or bringing their own motorhome or touring caravan.

Wood Farm also has a popular leisure centre at its heart with facilities including a cafe and heated indoor swimming pool.

Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish said that Wood Farm was a perfect fit to the group's other member-parks, and not just because of its geographical location:

"The park's position on a beautiful stretch of Dorset coastline where we don't already have a presence is strategically perfect for us, but there were other crucial factors," he said.

"Like our existing parks, Wood Farm's commitment to high standards has won it a large and loyal following, and a well-deserved reputation for delivering a first-class experience.

"We are greatly looking forward to being Wood Farm's custodian in the years ahead," added Tony.

The group recently announced plans to invest more than £20 million in its parks over the coming months, and said that advance bookings for 2021 were the highest in its 30-year history.
