Plaza Premium Lounge now open in Heathrow Terminal 5

The new Plaza Premium Lounge in Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 has runway views  and a wide spread of food selections.

LONDON – A new Plaza Premium Lounge has opened for travellers in London Heathrow Terminal 5 this week. It is the first lounge in the terminal for Plaza Premium Group, the world’s leading premium airport services provider, and has spectacular views across the runway. This completes a full set of Plaza Premium Lounges in all Heathrow terminals – with lounges already operational in Terminals 2, 3 and 4.

Aimed at both business and leisure travellers, prices start from £40 for two hours’ lounge access including a fully tended bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, fresh seasonal hot and cold food from the buffet and high-speed Wi-Fi. Lounge users can avail themselves of shower facilities to refresh for the next stage of their journey, plenty of comfortable seats, work stations and charging outlets, plus quality international newspapers and magazines.

The new 465 square metre Plaza Premium Lounge is located in a quiet corner of Terminal 5, close to departure gate A7. It is open daily from 0500 to 2200 and travellers can book in advance or walk in on the day.

This is the sixth Plaza Premium Lounge in London Heathrow Airport, with other lounges located at Terminal 2 (T2)’s Arrivals and Departures; T3 Arrivals; T4 Arrivals and Departures.

Amin Amin, General Manager, UK said, “Our brand new lounge in Terminal 5 creates a sense of place for travellers embarking on the next stage of their journey. It is exclusive and inviting, a haven of tranquility, offering unparalleled quality. All the values you would expect from an international luxury brand leader in the airport lounge space.”

John Arbuckle, Heathrow’s Property Director, added: “The new lounge in Terminal 5 means Heathrow passengers can now experience the quiet haven of a Plaza Premium lounge in every terminal. With great views over the airport and wonderful facilities, we are delighted to bring more passengers an independent lounge experience.”

In addition to airport lounges, Plaza Premium also operates airport transit hotels under the Aerotel brand. An 83-bedroom Aerotel is due to open landside in Terminal 3 in January 2018. Aerotel is designed to allow travellers to refresh, relax and rest at the airport. Mattresses and pillows are handpicked to offer travellers quality sleep and rooms are equipped with power showers and botanical amenities.

Plaza Premium Group has facilities under its management in more than 150 locations across 37 international airports, serving 12 million plus passengers a year. Recent addition of lounge locations include Riyadh King Khalid International Airport; Rio de Janeiro Tom Jobim International Airport; Brisbane Airport International Terminal; Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport T1 Departures; Siem Reap International Airport Departures; Phnom Penh International Airport Departures; Shanghai Pudong International Airport T2 Departures, and London Heathrow Airport T3 Arrivals.
