PortAventura Business & Events resumes its activity

The events division at PortAventura World has reinforced all its measures concerning capacity, social distancing and hygiene covered by its COVID-19 contingency plan in order to guarantee the return of professional events.

With the return of professional events in Catalonia, PortAventura Business & Events will once again begin to organise events this June with several meetings that are directly linked to the pharmaceutical industry, the leisure sector, banking and consulting, amongst others. In line with the official requirements from the Catalonian regional government, the facilities at the Convention Centre, which has large open spaces and a huge range of indoor and outdoor areas, have adapted to the current context in order to start offering unique experiences to the clients again.

The director of PortAventura Business & Events, Laura Valdeolivas, has celebrated the Convention Centre’s reopening, “a multi-functional yet versatile space which has been completely adjusted in order to fulfil the social distancing regulations and the organisation of activity flows both inside and outside of the building. We have 24 large, open halls which are surrounded by natural open-air spaces like gardens or terraces, where we have reinforced the exceptional measures for clients, employees and collaborators. This is all done with the aim of minimising risk and devising new hybrid and interactive experiences that will meet the new needs required by the sector”.

Besides the latest digital novelties from the PortAventura World events division such as the launch of the new website, the virtual 360o tour or the new interactive range, there is the new Hybrid Experience & Real Emotions service. Within this new range of solutions, which thrives on the technological potential of tools such as mixed reality, 3D graphics or holograms, the new set at the Convention Centre stands out with a customisable stage and specialist technicians that will enrich the client’s experience.

“At PortAventura Business & Events we want to contribute to the evolution of events by applying our creative ability and even by amplifying the emotions of being there in person, thanks to the myriad possibilities offered by digitalisation”, Valdeolivas explains.
