Heading Stateside, a post-election US booking surge for Teletext Holidays.

Immediately after Donald Trump lost the presidential vote, leading online travel agency Teletext Holidays saw searches for US holidays soar.

Comparing the 9 day post-election period to the 9 day pre-election period, the brand has seen a massive uplift in families searching on their website for Florida-based breaks with a 197% hike in searches for Florida State.

Looking at individual destinations, Miami alone has seen a very significant 508% increase in search volume, with Orlando also riding high on a 154% uplift.

Searches for city breaks are also showing massive gains. Teletext Holidays can reveal 490% additional search volume for New York, and 269% for Las Vegas.

Wayne Perks, Managing Director for Teletext Holidays comments: “All of our US destinations are seeing a lot of interest. The timing of the additional interest seems to correlate to that of the Presidential Election, so we can only assume that Joe Biden, with his more progressive Democratic viewpoints, is being perceived as creating a destination that more welcoming and inclusive for UK holidaymakers.  We are seeing a massive increase in families looking to book resorts in Florida for their Summer holidays, and also for our most popular city breaks.”

Teletext Holidays is one of the UK’s leading travel companies providing great-value beach and city breaks to thousands of destinations worldwide.

With over 27 years’ experience in the industry, Teletext Holidays strives to provide valued customers with a fantastic range of destinations, hotels, airlines and transfers, for the best possible prices. All holidays, flights and hotel deals are TTA and ATOL protected, so customers can book with confidence.
