Prestige Travel & Cruises named Agency of the Year by American Express Travel

Winner revealed at 2015 Retail Travel Network Learning Forum & National Summit.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – American Express Travel ended its annual Retail Travel Network Learning Forum & National Summit last week in Washington, D.C. by recognizing leaders in the travel space. Prestige Travel & Cruises, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, received the event’s highest honor and has been named Representative Network Agency of the Year.

Co-founded by Leo and Kathy Falkensammer, family-owned Prestige Travel & Cruises is a full service travel agency with more than 30 years of experience in luxury travel planning. The agency specializes in vacation planning for honeymoons, family reunions and group travel, and, as part of the American Express Travel Network, they are able to bring exclusive savings and amenities to their customers. Prestige Travel & Cruises has been recognized by American Express with the Rep Excellence award annually from 1994-2014 and was last honored to be American Express Travel Agency of the Year in 2008.

The 2015 Retail Travel Network Learning Forum & National Summit gathered company executives, suppliers, and the U.S. Representative Network to set the course for the year ahead and beyond. Themed, “LEAD” this year’s conference built off last year’s event, themed “Make History,” celebrating American Express Travel’s 100th anniversary and the Representative Network’s 50th anniversary.

The three-day long summit showcased how American Express Travel has taken the lead through its initiatives; its Representative Network, which consists of franchise agencies who use the American Express Travel brand and have access to its programs and benefits; and its travel industry forecasts. It also spotlighted its Journeymakers campaign, which launched on the heels of its 100th anniversary to applaud the people in travel who truly make a difference and create memorable experiences for travelers.
