Pure Hospitality Solutions increases focus on partnerships to develop Oveedia

Race between Google and Big Four, gives cause for PURE's Central America-Caribbean OTA to be ripe for future acquisition.

LAS VEGAS – Pure Hospitality Solutions, Inc., announced that the company has made stronger relationships, to ensure that its FROL booking engine is given new life as Oveedia, the anticipated Central-America-Caribbean Online Travel Agency (OTA) to be launched in Costa Rica later this year.

“Take a serious look at the OTA market,” commented Melvin Pereira, President of Pure Hospitality Solutions, Inc. “One would not ask why, but rather urge us to pay close attention to the revamp of FROL. The reason is simple. Central America and the Latin countries of the Caribbean, currently appear to lack a centralized OTA. With OTA acquisitions now appearing to be back in the spotlight, being on the ground and having tested the platform in Costa Rica, we believe we have a strong competitive advantage.”

Management points to the primary growth model of Expedia, Priceline, Orbitz Worldwide and Travelocity – suggesting that acquisition of region specific OTAs contributes to their dynamic reach. However, with Expedia’s recent $1.3 Billion move to acquire Orbitz – noted as more of a “survival” tactic, given Google’s recent encroachment into the space – management expects other acquisition opportunities to follow. This may particularly be the case along the roads seemingly less traveled, such as the larger portions of those nine countries making up the Central America-Caribbean region.

Mr. Pereira concluded, “We’re putting much thought into client-partner/investment-partner relationships to help ensure that Oveedia’s soft launch target date is attainable. We’ve increased our concentration and participation in Oveedia’s development; anticipating it to be the most socially integrated OTA system available to the Latin travel markets.”
