Ski company heavyweights Thomas Cook, TUI Ski, TUI Travel PLC and Scott Dunn are among the many tour operators already signed up to take part in the inaugural International Ski Travel Market (ISTM) , which takes place in Austria on March 17-18, 2014.
Organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions, the world’s leading events organiser in the travel and tourism industry, ISTM will bring together up to 80 European resort tourist boards and inbound ski travel suppliers with 80 leading outbound ski tour operators in an exciting programme of pre-arranged appointments.
Other companies already registered to send their top buyers to purchase products from ISTM exhibitors include Powder Byrne International, The Luxury Chalet Collection, Scott Dunn, Halsbury Travel, FreshTracks, TUI Ski, TUI Travel PLC, Ski Unlimited, Exclusive Tours and Thomas Cook AG.
Friederike Kamien, Board VIP Travel, from Thomas Cook AG, says: “ISTM is a very interesting global platform. It’s the location to discuss emerging trends, find new opportunities, meet new contacts, increase networking opportunities and exchange ideas – as well as meet colleagues working in the same business from different source markets. It will be good to meet suppliers face-to-face in one place and establish who the right contacts are for business and solving any issues.”
Also looking forward to attending ISTM in March, Kirsty Edwards, Product Manager of Scott Dunn comments “Bringing together key players in the ski industry at ISTM presents a great opportunity for us to both develop new relationships and further existing ones which will ultimately help us continue to provide our guests with the level of experience and service they expect when it comes to booking their holiday through Scott Dunn. This important new ski industry event will provide a really valuable networking opportunity”
Peter Grimster, Exhibition Manager at Reed Travel Exhibitions, notes: “The two-day programme for ISTM includes pre-scheduled appointments, a selection of topical industry seminars and networking opportunities that together ensure buyers and exhibitors get the most from this exclusive forum.“
Acknowledging the breadth of ISTM participants, Grimster adds: “There are key representatives from across the ski industry signed up for the first ever ISTM and the buzz surrounding the event continues to generate excitement right across the global ski travel industry. Buyers are excited about the quality of suppliers attending – and the suppliers are seeing an outstanding calibre of exhibitors coming onboard.”
