Ryanair launches new winter 2017 schedules

Ryanair launched its East Midlands and Bristol winter 2017 schedule. Also teamed up with Newcastle Airport and Middlesbrough FC to celebrate the start of its new Newcastle-Madrid service and launched a new base at Munich Memmingen Airport.

Ryanair launched its East Midlands winter 2017 schedule, with a new  route to Seville and a new winter service to Budapest, with 23 routes in total which will deliver 2.4m customers p.a. and support 1,800 jobs at the East Midlands Airport.

Ryanair’s East Midland’s winter 2017 schedule will deliver:

  • 1 new route to Seville (2 x weekly)
  • 1 new winter service to Budapest (2 x weekly)
  • 23 winter routes in total
  • 80 weekly flights
  • 2.4m customers p.a.
  • 1,800 “on-site” jobs p.a.

Ryanair will continue to connect the East Midlands with major business and leisure centres on high frequency, low fare services including Alicante (daily) and Dublin (2 x daily), all on the lowest fares, making Ryanair the ideal choice for UK business and leisure customers.

Ryanair’s East Midland’s summer 2017 schedule is attracting record bookings, with more frequencies to sun destinations for summer family holidays, including 4 new routes to Budapest (3 weekly), Girona (2 weekly), Naples (3 weekly) and Reus (2 weekly), on lower fares as Ryanair passes on lower fuel costs, and an even better customer experience, as it continues to roll out its “Always Getting Better” improvements.

Ryanair also teamed up with Newcastle Airport and Middlesbrough FC to celebrate the start of its new Newcastle-Madrid service, which takes off for the first time next week.

Two lucky Middlesbrough fans Paul Ovington and Joanne McCrum were presented with flights to Madrid at half-time during Sunday’s Premier League game against Manchester United at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium.

The new Madrid route, which commences on Monday, 27th March, brings to 12 the number of sun, city and football destinations served from Newcastle Airport this summer, including new routes to Faro, Girona and Palma.

Ryanair celebrated its Newcastle growth by releasing fares from just £9.99 for travel in March and April, which must be booked on the Ryanair.com website by midnight Thursday (23 Mar).

Ryanair’s Gerard O’Shea said: “We are pleased to present Paul and Joanne with their flights from Newcastle to Madrid to celebrate the launch of our new Madrid service, our 12th route from Newcastle Airport. Our Newcastle summer schedule is attracting record bookings, especially on new services to Faro, Girona, Madrid and Palma, which all commence next week and we’re sure will be popular with both business and leisure customers across the North East – and ensure Newcastle Airport and Ryanair will be top of the league for choice and value this season."

Ryanair launched its Bristol winter 2017 schedule, with a new route to Cologne, extra flights to Bucharest and Venice and 20 routes in total, which will deliver 1.7m customers p.a. and support 1,300 jobs at Bristol Airport.

Ryanair’s Bristol winter 2017 schedule will deliver:

  • 1 new winter route to: Cologne (4 x weekly)
  • Extra flights to: Bucharest (2 x weekly) & Venice (4 weekly)
  • 20 routes in total
  • 76 weekly flights
  • 1.7m customer’s p.a.
  • 1,300 “on-site” jobs p.a.

Ryanair will continue to connect Bristol with major business and leisure centres on high frequency, low fare services including Dublin (2 daily) and Milan (3 wkly), on the lowest fares, making Ryanair the ideal choice for UK business and leisure customers.

Ryanair launched a new base at Munich Memmingen Airport (No. 86), its 10th German base, with 1 based aircraft (an investment of $100m) and launched its biggest ever Munich Memmingen winter schedule (2017), with 7 new routes to Fez, Lviv, Oradea, Seville, Stockholm, Thessaloniki and Warsaw (17 routes in total) which will help deliver 825,000 customers p.a. as Ryanair grows its Munich Memmingen traffic by almost 40%.

Ryanair’s Munich Memmingen summer 2017 schedule is attracting record bookings, including a new route to Sofia, on lower fares as Ryanair passes on lower fuel costs, and an even better customer experience, as it continues to roll out its “Always Getting Better” improvements.

In Munich Memmingen, Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said: “We are pleased to announce that we will open a base at Munich Memmingen Airport next winter, our 86th in Europe and 10th in Germany, with 1 based aircraft, an investment of $100m, as we launch our 2017 Munich Memmingen winter schedule, our biggest ever, with 7 new routes to Fez, Lviv, Oradea, Seville, Stockholm, Thessaloniki and Warsaw, which will help deliver 825,000 customers p.a. as we grow our Munich Memmingen traffic by almost 40%. These new routes will go on sale later today as we continue to grow German tourism and jobs, underlining our commitment to the Bavaria Allgau region.
