Marina industry leader continues expansion of its world-class portfolio.

DALLAS – Safe Harbor Marinas has acquired five marinas and increased its portfolio of world-class marinas to 75 facilities. On October 9th, Safe Harbor closed on Belle Maer Harbor on Lake St. Claire near Detroit, MI. On Monday, October 15th, the world's largest owner and operator of marinas acquired four additional facilities in Charleston, SC.

Belle Maer Harbor is an immaculate facility and home to nearly 900 boating families. The property is beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained with a number of resort-style amenities. Safe Harbor Senior Vice President of Investments Jason Hogg said, "I couldn't be happier to welcome Belle Maer Harbor into the Safe Harbor family. When paired with our wonderful property at Jefferson Beach, Belle Maer enables us to upgrade our Member experience, host events like regional Safe Harbor rendezvous, and create more value for our Members through our loyalty program." Eric Foster, owner of Belle Maer Marina added, "Safe Harbor's operating philosophy closely meshed with mine, and I am convinced that I have made the right choice for the future of my staff and my boaters."

In South Carolina, Safe Harbor's acquisition of the Charleston City Boatyard, The Bristol Marina, the Harborage at Ashley Fuel and Transient dock and the Charleston City Marina significantly expand the company's offerings in the mid-Atlantic. Located on the Ashley River in historic downtown Charleston, the Charleston City Marina features 19,000 feet of linear dock space covering 40 acres of water. Its trademarked "MegaDock" extends more than 1,500 feet and is the longest freestanding floating fuel and transient dock on the East Coast. The Ashley Fuel Dock and Bristol Marina are also on the Ashley River very near the Charleston City Marina. The property features a fuel dock, 160 wet slips and 38 drive-on docks. The City Boatyard is South Carolina's largest full-service boatyard and yacht repair facility. Located on eight acres just north of the Charleston Harbor on the Wando River, the boatyard offers refits and repairs, yacht restorations and a 75-ton Travelift.

Robbie Freeman, managing partner of City Marina Company said, "We are delighted to join forces with the world's premier owner and operator of marinas and boatyards. The affiliation with Safe Harbor Marinas will ensure that we offer our Members the highest level of service and facilities and provide even more growth opportunities for our talented employees."
