SAS launches advance seat reservation on short haul flights

SAS now offers all its customers with SAS Go tickets to European destinations the opportunity to choose their seat when they book their flight.

SAS is focusing on making life easier for travelers, and as one of several new products and services now being launched, you can now pre-reserve your seat on routes between Scandinavia and Europe. This option has previously only been available on long haul routes, but is now being introduced on flights between Scandinavia and European destinations. Now, travelers booking a SAS Go ticket can pay a fee to reserve a seat at the same time. This means, for instance, that you can reserve your preferred choice of aisle or window, or if you are traveling as a party, you can book seats together.

“At SAS we continue to update and further develop our products and services to give our customers greater freedom of choice and simpler travel. We have offered pre-booked seats on our long haul flights for some time, and are delighted to now be able to offer this to our Go passengers on routes to and from Europe.

Many people have preferences when it comes to where they wish to sit, and they now have an even better chance of getting the seat they prefer,” said Snorre Andresen, Vice President Product Management and Development at SAS.

As previously, everyone flying with SAS, whatever class of ticket, will still be able to choose their seat at no charge when checking in up to 22 hours before departure. EuroBonus Gold and Diamond Cardholders and SAS Plus ticket holders always have advance seat reservation included with their ticket.
