BANGKOK – Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas announced the appointment of three new general managers to properties in Turkey and Vietnam.

Zeynep Incekara comes on board as general manager for the soon-to-be-open Six Senses Kocatas Mansions in Istanbul, Turkey. Zeynep joins Six Senses from her previous role as pre-opening general manager of Jumeirah Bali.

With over 36 years of experience in the international hotel and tourism sector, Zeynep started her career in Australia at Hayman Island, Whitsundays Australia as the pre-opening reservations manager. She continued to rise through the ranks with management stints at Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet, Singapore, New York and at Park Lane in London.

Zeynep then moved to Tokyo as the executive assistant manager of the Mandarin Oriental, then to Hong Kong as the executive assistant manager and hotel manager of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental. Zeynep also held the general manager position of Qineticare, Global Family Health Office, Hong Kong before moving on to Jumeirah Bodrum Palace, Turkey as general manager and to Jumeirah Bali.

Zeynep attended Ryde College of Catering & Hotel Management in Sydney, Australia. She holds dual Turkish and Australian citizenship. Her love for interior design, art and cultural activities is complemented by her love for walking through cities to discover new and wonderful treasures.

Andrew Whiffen has been appointed general manager of multi-award winning Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam. His most recent roles were resort manager and general manager of Soneva Kiri Thailand and Soneva Jani Maldives respectively – resorts renowned for their commitment to sustainability.

Andrew brings with him over 30 years of hospitality experience having commenced his career in culinary arts, working his way up to the executive chef position, then later transitioning into hotel operations overseeing the food and beverage operations. Andrew’s profession has taken him all over the world and he prides himself on having worked for highly respected brands that include Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, Marco Polo Niccolo in Chengdu, Raffles Hotel in Dubai and many more. He identifies himself as a true global citizen.

Apart from his love for street food from around the world, Andrew possesses a passion for art and music. His current project is a work in progress – the renovation of his beautiful family cottage in France where he can relax with his family. His favorite quote “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious” by Albert Einstein certainly leads him to his next adventure with Six Senses."

Dominic Scoles has joined Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam as general manager. With more than a decade of experience working in the high-end hospitality sector, Dominic brings experience and extensive passion to his new role.

After graduating from the Arizona State University with a degree in economics, Dominic decided to pursue his passion and turned it into his lifetime career. Having opened his first hotel at the age of 24 as Director of Nightlife for W Hotels, he has since been a part of five hotel openings.

In the role of Director of Food and Beverage, he headed up luxury properties in the USA, Mexico, Turks & Caicos and Maldives, with respected brands such as COMO, St. Regis and W Hotels. Dominic was part of teams in two hotels winning the Forbes Travel Guide Stars Award and had the opportunity to handle some of the most outstanding events in his career, like the NBA All-Stars, Miami Music Conference, BPM Festival Mexico and ESPY Awards as well as the Oscars.

Dominic believes in a mindful approach to hospitality and feels that the best way to learn and grow through travel is to first ‘seek to understand and then to be understood’. Moving from the Maldives to Vietnam, he firmly believes he is now right where he is meant to be. The differences in cultures and perceptions seem not to be a challenge but a chance to grow and move forward. He looks forward to spending time with the hosts at Six Senses Con Dao and learn more about their personal journeys and dreams so he can support and motivate them, and encourage their growth.
