Ski Solutions reports 23% spike in advance bookings

Ski Solutions predicts snow sport hot spots for 2014 in response to ski club research.

In response to the latest consumer research published by The Ski Club of Great Britain, tailor made ski specialist Ski Solutions’ Managing Director, Craig Burton, believes the snow sports sector is primed for growth this winter and shares tips for the top spots this season.

“We forecast a strong 2013/14 season, and on Tuesday we enjoyed our biggest single trading day in 27 years as we gather increased evidence of a positive and sustained rebound in the ski sector. Advanced bookings have trended 23% up through the summer and in to the early-Autumn with peak dates booking up very quickly.”

While Europe is proving more popular than ever on the back of a record-breaking winter, Ski Solutions reports increased demand too for longer-haul destinations including Whistler and Banff in Canada, indicating increased consumer confidence.

“In the past, consumer behavior shifted towards the independent booking of ski and snow sport holidays due to a perception that this was more cost effective. However, the reality is that specialist tour operators like Ski Solutions can offer tighter pricing on holidays and bespoke packages due to our long-existing relationships with resorts and suppliers and our in-depth expertise.”

Burton confirms that among the currently lesser-known shorter-haul destinations, Solden, Champoluc and Madonna di Campiglio are trending strongly for the 2013/14 season and that the arrival of the W Verbier in December, the hotel group’s first alpine property, is stimulating increased demand for the Swiss favourite.
