Smartphone turns into ticket: amiando implements Passbook

Attendees can now replace their conventional paper-ticket with a mobile-ticket, stored and organised on their mobile devices by Passbook.

MUNICH – amiando, the event management software for online event registration, releases its new wallet feature, Passbook. As of now amiando will send out mobile tickets. These will allow attendees to participate at events even more conveniently.

Paperless event participation
Following the possibility of on-the-go ticket purchase with launch of the mobile ticket shop, amiando now integrates another highlight. The implementation of Apples application Passbook allows event attendees to participate at events paperless and more comfortable as it saves and organizes electronic tickets on the iPhone. The app PassWallet brings the same functionality to android devices.

Attendees can now replace their conventional paper-ticket with a mobile-ticket, stored and organised on their mobile devices by Passbook.

Mobile Ticketing speeds up event admission
Passbook allows attendees to participate at events conveniently and paperless and, in combination with the software EasyEntry, amiando provides simplified on-site entry management. By using geo-positioning and knowing the time and date of the event the software chooses the right ticket to be shown on the phone display when and where it is needed. Looking for the right ticket and long queues are now a thing of the past.

Modern HTML design for confirmation email
Parallel to the Passbook release, amiando updated their confirmation email, containing all relevant ticket information, to the HTML format. The new layout appeals with its clear and uncluttered design. To create an enhanced attendee experience the displayed ticket-information was rearranged and the mobile as well as passbook-tickets can now be found in the email attachment.

“We are glad to offer our customers event participation simpler than ever by introducing mobile ticketing and Passbook. Customers can now store amiando tickets among vouchers and loyalty cards conveniently in one single place,” says Maik Wiege, Product Manager.

“At amiando we are constantly on the look-out for the latest technologies and trends to make event participation ever simpler and convenient. So I am particularly happy about the integration of Passbook which will consolidate our leading role in the ticketing industry,” comments Norbert Stockmann, CEO of amiando.
