TAAG Angola Airlines appoints APG as its GSA in the UK & Ireland

The move coincides with the other new developments at the airline including the signing of new long term lease agreements for six new Airbus A220-300 aircraft as well as the launch of flights between Luanda and Madrid which complement the airline’s existing European flights to Lisbon.

TAAG Angola Airlines, an airline with over 70 years of history, has extended its longstanding General Sales Agent (GSA) agreement with APG, the world's leading network for airline services, to the United Kingdom and Ireland. The two latest countries will be added to the agreement with effect from this month.

The move coincides with the other new developments at the airline including the signing of new long term lease agreements for six new Airbus A220-300 aircraft as well as the launch of flights between Luanda and Madrid which complement the airline’s existing European flights to Lisbon.

In line with its cooperation with TAAG in other markets, APG will be providing wide-ranging sales and marketing activities for TAAG in the UK and Ireland, as well as full customer and agent support.

Alan Daniels, Director of Sales & Operations, APG UK & Ireland commented “We have been partnering with TAAG for almost two decades and we are now delighted that TAAG has selected us to represent them as GSA in the UK and Ireland. There are several new sales opportunities we are excited to explore throughout the UK and Ireland and we are looking forward to meeting with all of our trade partners to introduce our new client.”

“TAAG is fostering operations and strengthening its reputation worldwide. Indeed, we need the right partnerships to continue growing. APG provides us with expertise, solid market intelligence, and networking to position TAAG as the first-choice company among key stakeholders as they are also active players regarding TAAG´s business development in those regions.” states Eduardo Fairen, TAAG, CEO.
