Taste of Travel to return to WTCE in 2019

Running from 2-4 April 2019, the Taste of Travel Theatre will feature a specially curated – free-to-attend – programme that delivers inspiration, advice and samples of the latest product innovations.

The organisers of the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) have confirmed that the revered Taste of Travel programme – run in association with Onboard Hospitality magazine – will return to Hamburg in April, enabling airline, rail and cruise operators to learn about the future of onboard services and how they will enhance passenger experience.

Running from 2-4 April 2019, the Taste of Travel Theatre will feature a specially curated – free-to-attend – programme that delivers inspiration, advice and samples of the latest product innovations. And onboard chefs and passenger experience leaders are now able to apply to join the programme and share their invaluable insights with representatives from international airlines, rail operators and cruise lines.

Exclusive insights to deliver better onboard services
Organised by former Onboard Hospitality Editor, Jo Austin, a series of product launches and live cookery demonstrations will be complemented by presentations and panel discussions covering a range of pertinent issues, such as packaging, sustainability, food waste, pre-ordering and wellbeing. There will also be an opportunity for new-comers to the industry to meet the Onboard Mentors in a dedicated session on Taste of Travel.

The practical sessions will also provide advice on how to drive revenue onboard, with experts from the aviation, rail and cruise sectors offering exclusive insights that will help brand owners tap into the lucrative travel catering and onboard services market.

Speaking about the programme, Archana Sharma, WTCE Exhibition Director, said: “The Taste of Travel Theatre brings together experts in travel catering and onboard hospitality and provides a unique platform for them to learn, connect and share insights with their peers – all in one place, free of charge. We’re delighted to once again partner with the Onboard Hospitality team and look forward to announcing more about this year’s programme over the coming months.”

Returning to the Hamburg Messe from 2-4 April 2019 as part of Passenger Experience Week, WTCE is one of four leading events in one destination, alongside the Passenger Experience Conference, Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) and returning following its debut in 2018, Passenger Technology Solutions. WTCE remains the number one event for buyers from the world’s international charter and regional airlines and rail operators, as well as cruise and coach companies.
