TFWA i.lab returns with physical format at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference

The dedicated TFWA i.lab space will feature a lounge where participants can network with visitors and promote their ideas from a pitch stage with a screen, and an informal area shared by start-up exhibitors.

The 2022 edition of TFWA World Exhibition & Conference will incorporate the physical return of TFWA i.lab – the ideas hub that shines a spotlight on innovative ways to engage the travelling consumer. Open from midday on Monday, 3rd October through to 17:00 on Thursday, 6th October in line with the wider exhibition, for the first time TFWA i.lab will be located inside the Palais des Festivals on the main show floor, within the Red Village.

The dedicated TFWA i.lab space will feature a lounge where participants can network with visitors and promote their ideas from a pitch stage with a screen, and an informal area shared by start-up exhibitors.

Featuring some of the TFWA i.lab exhibitors, TFWA’s Innovation in Action workshop will also resume its place on the week’s agenda and will take place on Wednesday 5th October from 12:30 until 14:00 CET. The line-up of speakers will cover topics such as sustainability in travel retail, digital transformation and data-based services.

With significant exhibitor interest in this year’s TFWA i.lab, visitors will meet with both new and returning names from some of the most tech-forward businesses in fields such as data analytics, sustainable and social initiatives, digital traveller engagement and in-store solutions. TFWA i.lab will also be included within TFWA’s ONE2ONE meeting service and preliminary meetings for eligible companies can be arranged.

“Innovation continues to play a fundamental role in the recovery of the duty free and travel retail industry, and we are honouring this by positioning TFWA i.lab at the very centre of the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference. TFWA i.lab encourages delegates to explore new ways of operating while also providing them with ample opportunity to learn about some of the latest trends and developments set to shape the future of duty free and travel retail. With a range of pioneering companies sharing new ideas, delegates can look forward to being both captivated and inspired during their time in Cannes” says Erik Juul-Mortensen, TFWA President.
